thoughtful support for the work you hold

holding a retreat is hard work ... but immensely rewarding

Holding a retreat is so much more than choosing a venue and planning a programme.

After many personal retreat experiences that left me feeling vulnerable, alone, I truly believe that 'holding' people - before they arrive, while they are with you, and after they return home - is a key element of retreat-planning and organisation that is often left out.

I work with retreat facilitators, leaders and organisers who care about the whole arc of a retreat experience:
∞ the gentle preparation beforehand
∞ the quality of presence during the retreat itself, and
∞ the integration that follows once people return to their lives

Whether you are planning your first retreat or refining something you have been offering for years, I can support you in creating experiences that feel well-held, inclusive, and genuinely nourishing for the people who attend - and deeply satisfying and rewarding for you, in all kinds of ways.

the unseen work of a retreat

Retreats carry a lot of invisible threads.

The questions people bring to you, long before they book. The nerves, hopes, access needs, and practical logistics. The emotional and physical transitions of arriving in a new place.

And then the tender re-entry afterwards, when real life meets whatever has shifted inside of them ... and you.

This is where I love to work.  Not to take over what you are here to offer, but to help shape the container around your divine retreat, so your work can land more gently and more deeply.

inclusivity, access & thoughtful design

I care deeply about retreats being welcoming in practice, not just in intention, which includes:
∞ access considerations
∞ mobility-friendly spaces
∞ neurodivergent-friendly pacing and communication
∞ emotional safety and clarity around what a retreat is (and isn’t) offering
∞ honest conversations about who a retreat is best suited for

Sometimes small changes in how a retreat is framed, structured, or supported can make a profound difference to how safe and held people feel ... and how much your business can grow.

how I can support you ... and boost your retreat value

I offer behind-the-scenes and co-creative support for retreat facilitators, leaders and organisers, including ...

✧ pre-retreat support

• thoughtful pre-retreat journeys for retreat attendees

• gentle orientation materials to help people feel emotionally and practically prepared

• support with inclusive language, access considerations, and expectations

• travel guidance and logistics support, where helpful (UK attendees only)

• optional pre-retreat reflection or intention-setting spaces for attendees

✧ in-retreat support

• co-facilitation or supportive presence

• holding gentle creative or reflective spaces alongside your core work (especially helpful if you are running a retreat solo)

• supporting nervous-system-friendly pacing and integration

• quiet logistical or emotional support for attendees who may need extra care

✧ post-retreat support

• post-retreat reflection and integration resources

• provision of follow-up spaces for attendees

• creative or reflective practices to help people bring the retreat home with them

• support designing a soft “re-entry” arc, rather than an abrupt ending as the retreat ends

travel support (optional)

Wearing my independent travel advisor and certified Inclusivity Advisor hats, I am also here to support you with the travel-side of retreat planning.

This may look like
∞ supporting you with venue and destination choices
∞ co-designing inclusive retreats
∞ helping retreat attendees navigate travel in a way that feels accessible and well-supported
∞ researching and creating add-on trips for your retreat attendees
∞ mapping the pre- and post-retreat journey as an integral part of the retreat experience, not just a practical add-on

This can be especially supportive for international retreats or experiences led in less-straightforward locations.

why choose me to help you?

Because I care about the whole journey, not just the moment you and all your retreat attendees arrive on retreat.

Alongside my work in travel and retreat design, I bring over 15 years of experience as a coach, with training in hypnopsychotherapy and creative arts practice (to name but a few).

This means I’m also able to offer grounded, trauma-aware support when things stir - not as a substitute for your facilitation, but as a steady, compassionate presence alongside it.

I understand that retreats don’t begin at the venue gates: they begin in the body long before someone books their place with you ... and they continue quietly long after people return home.

People choose to work with me because I’m attentive to the details that are often missed: the emotional preparation, the access needs, the nervous excitement, the gentle integration afterwards. I work slowly and thoughtfully, honouring both the people you are holding and the energy you are carrying as a facilitator.

If you are someone who wants your retreats to feel well-held, inclusive, and genuinely nourishing, we’re likely to work well together.  I bring professional therapeutic awareness into retreat spaces, while always collaboratively working ethically within clear boundaries.

working together

As each retreat is different, I prefer to offer support as simple session rates, day rates, or small support bundles, depending on what you are planning and the kind of support you would find most beneficial.

This allows us to shape something that is genuinely useful, rather than fitting your retreat into a pre-set box.

As a guide:

• pre-retreat design, mentoring and participant care support is usually offered on a session basis

• on-retreat support is offered as a day rate, plus travel and accommodation

• post-retreat integration and aftercare is offered as a short-term support bundle, depending on your requirements

• travel and accessibility support can be added as an optional layer, if helpful

Most collaborations sit somewhere between a few hundred pounds for focused pre- or post-retreat support, and a higher investment when I’m present on retreat, and/or involved across the whole arc of the retreat experience.

I work in a way that feels fair, transparent, and sustainable for you and for me. If budgets are limited, we can look to gently scale the scope of support.

If you are curious about working together, you are warmly invited to reach out with a little bit of information about the retreat you are planning and what kind of support you are exploring or considering.

From there, we can sense what might feel like a good fit.

Please kindly note: I work with a small number of retreats each season so I ensure offer thoughtful, attentive and timely support.
